A look ahead to 2025 from our CEO, Jeff Thorn
2024 has been an excellent year for Thorn Technologies, with more people than ever before using our products.
We’ve been scoring high marks on sites like G2 and from users on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Thanks to all of you for your continued support.
As the year winds down, I’m excited about what’s ahead in 2025.
Here are just a few things we have going, with more to come:
Exciting Updates for 2025 with SFTP Gateway v3.7
In early 2025, we’ll introduce SFTP Gateway v3.7, featuring highly requested enhancements.
The most significant update is support for Azure File Share, a new cloud connection type customers have requested that natively supports mounting as a hard drive and resumable SFTP transfers.
Other key features include the ability to define user expiration dates, giving you greater control over access management, and optimization for cloud connections using instance credentials, which enhances performance in specific configurations.
Continuing to assist with migrations from v2
If you’re still on SFTP Gateway Version 2, now is the perfect time to upgrade to Version 3.
I want to ensure you’ve seen our messages: After December 31, 2024, we will no longer support Version 2 of SFTP Gateway. It’s important that you migrate ASAP.
Contact our sales team if you need help migrating from v2 to v3. We can assemble a migration plan, and if you contact us before December 31, you’ll receive a discount on SFTP Gateway for all of 2025.
More features coming for StorageLink
In 2025, our team will also focus on the next release of StorageLink, our drag-and-drop file transfer product that allows users to connect to cloud storage locations from a web browser.
We have several new features on our StorageLink roadmap for 2025, many based on user feedback, and we’ll share details about them in the new year.
StorageLink comes with a 30-day free trial, just like SFTP Gateway, if you want to try it yourself. Contact our support team for a demo or help getting started.
Annual plans to save you 10%
You’ll hear a lot from us in the new year about annual SFTP Gateway and StorageLink plans. These opportunities are already available and come with significant savings of 10%.
